The Summer Show

The Summer Shows sees the audience divided into groups, who rotate to three different venues around Greyfriars. There are two intervals (where a finger buffet and bar are available!), and the performers put on their show three times each night.

For 2016 the show theme was ‘Who? Which? Where?’ imaginatively created by directors Charlie Daniels, Jane Howell and Louise Daly & Charlie Hawker.

What else could ‘Who’, be based on but Dr Who, complete with a handmade Tardis! The Doctor is trying to make his way back to the seventies but ends up visiting a few decades on the way. There are some 1920s Charlestons, Cowboys and Indians and a 1990s Spice Girls Medley.

‘Which’ was based on the theme, ‘Into the woods’. The Narrator sat down to tell her story, with the help of a variety of songs and dances.

The ‘Where’ section focused on one question- ‘Where is sparkle?’- and included a lot of glamorous dresses and fantastic tunes.

The Autumn Play

Our autumn play for 2016 was the Agatha Christie farce, A Spider's Web which was performed at Ringwood School Theatre under the direction of John Turpin,

The Soiree

The Ringwood Soirée is a perennially popular revue show which has its spiritual home with the RMDS. One thing is for sure, the Soirée is a must-see!

As usual, the Soiree was a great evening of song, dance and comic sketches. This year, Jane Howell took on the role of choreographer, Jonathan Spratt was Musical Director and Charlie Hockey was Producer.
