Ringwood School Theatre

The production of our main Easter musical takes place in the splendid theatre of Ringwood School, as does our Autumn play. The Society is proud and pleased to have been able to contribute to the improvement of the theatre facilities in our local secondary school, which has enabled RMDS to mount many splendid productions and, in turn, to encourage an ever-growing interest in performing arts within the school itself.

At the first roundabout off the dual carriageway take the first exit into Southampton Road, then take the second right into Parsonage Barn Lane. Ringwood School is on the right signposted with Ringwood Recreation Centre.

Greyfriars Community Centre

Greyfriars is the venue for our unique triangular Summer Show. This community complex is the home of many of Ringwood’s social and educational enterprises and is greatly prized. The RMDS takes over all four halls within the complex to produce the Summer Show and we are always very grateful for the help and co-operation the Society is shown. The Choir also uses Greyfriars for some of its local concerts.

At the first roundabout off the dual carriage take the second exit into Mansfield Road. After two pedestrian crossings you will see a mini roundabout. Greyfriars is in front of you between the second & third exits. To park, either take the second exit from the roundabout into Bickerley Gardens (to the left of Greyfriars) or take the third exit into Christchurch Road and then turn left before the Methodist Church. It is a short walk through the Library carpark to Greyfriars.

The Trinity Centre

The Trinity centre is a new community facility attached to the Trinity Church. The Choir uses the Church itself for rehearsals. This is a very valuable and well-used facility for all sorts of Ringwood people.

At the first roundabout off the dual carriage take the second exit into Mansfield Road. After the second pedestrian crossings turn left into The Quomp the Trinity carpark is the first entrance on the left. Alternatively continue to the next mini roundabout and take the third exit into Christchurch Road and then turn left before the Methodist Church. It is a short walk through the Library carpark past the Greyfriars Community Centre to the Trinity Centre. The entrance is just a few metres along Christchurch Road on the opposite side of the road

St John the Baptist Church Hall, Poulner

This building has been the main rehearsal hall for the RMDS for many years. With the recent addition of a larger meeting room, its usefulness to the Society has developed even more. It means that dance and choral rehearsals can be done in the main hall while principal rehearsals carry on in the meeting room. The hall's other claim to fame is as the home of the very popular and inventive Poulner Players who present a pantomime and a play every year.

At the first roundabout off the dual carriage take the first exit into Southampton Road, which takes you back across a bridge over the dual carriageway. At the second mini roundabout (after a collection of speed bumps!) turn left into Gorley Road. The White Hart Pub will be on your right after you turn. Take the second right into Linford Road. Carry on up the hill and you will see St John the Baptist Church on the left. The car park entrance is just before the church.

The Parish rooms are attached to the Parish Church and are a very useful location for the RMDS Choir to rehearse. They have also proved a very useful extra rehearsal space when other venues have been temporarily unavailable

At the first roundabout off the dual carriage take the second exit into Mansfield Road. After two pedestrian crossings you will see a mini roundabout. Take the last exit and continue until you come to the junction with the High Street. Turn left and continue into the Market Square. You will see the Church on the right. Park in the High Street. The Parish Rooms are at the rear of the Church. Take the path alongside right-hand side of the the Church.
Alternatively, at the roundabout take the last exit into the car parks. Continue into the Waitrose car park. You can walk to the rear of the Church from here via a gate close to the dual carriageway.
