The Ringwood Soirée
|
The Soirée is a revue show which is produced annually in the autumn. The show is performed by a small regular group of between 10 and 12 performers who write and direct it themselves. It has been very popular for many years and tickets are always in great demand. Over the years the show has raised an extraordinary amount of money for all sorts of charities. |

![]() The History of the Soirée |
From 1988 the Soirée graced the League of Friends Hall at St Leonards Hospital where it played to audiences of more than 250 at each of its fifteen performances. With the demise of this hall the show then moved for several years to the West Moors Memorial Hall, a smaller venue but very cosy! The present home of the Soirée is The Hub at Verwood. |

Added to that,
the Soiree's popularity with the public is phenomenal. Sam Coleman, having been a
Soirée team member himself, took over the box office over thirty years ago and is
virtually under siege as soon as tickets are available, and more often than not, before! The Soiree is a Ringwood institution and
is more than likely to continue raising laughs and funds for many charities well
into the next century. |
